News on IVSA Congresses and Symposia
69th IVSA Symposium (Special General Assembly)
13th-14th and 27th-28th of February, 2021
Dear IVSA Members,
We are very sorry to announce that due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, IVSA Indonesia will no longer be able to host the 69th IVSA Symposium that was supposed to take place in January 2021. With this decision, the next international event will take the form of a Special General Assembly (SGA). The upcoming event will be taking place entirely online. Therefore, we are looking for motivated IVSA Members to help the IVSA Officials with organizing this event as the Online Organising Committee (OOC)!
The SGA will take place on weekends 13th-14th of February and 27th-28th of February. The OOC members will help with delegates affairs, documents and activities, and are expected to be present for both weekends. The OOC will work in close contact with the MOD team as well as other IVSA Officials, and will be able to consult with them whenever needed.
For more information and application: bit.ly/IVSAOOC
Deadline for application is 27th of November.
Note! To prove that you are a current member of IVSA, you will need Proof of Membership. It needs to be filled by the President and EO of your local / national IVSA Member Organization. The completed version can then be submitted through the application form.
You can find the document here: ivsa.org/proof-of-membership
70th IVSA Congress in Utrecht, the Netherlands
19th-29th of July, 2021
IVSA the Netherlands is proud to host the 70th IVSA Congress! The congress will be held in the city of Utrecht from the 19th till 29th of July 2021, uniting 140 delegates from all over the world. The lectures and workshop will be centred around the main theme ‘The Digitalization of Veterinary Medicine’. This is the perfect chance to get to know veterinary students from other countries while learning more about veterinary medicine in the Netherlands.
The General Assemblies, lectures and most of the workshops will be held at the Utrecht University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the Yalelaan on the Uithof, one of University Utrecht’s campuses.
Our accommodation, StayOkay Utrecht-Bunnik on the Rhijnauwenselaan, is a short bicycle ride from the university. Yes bicycle ride, you will, of course, be provided with a bicycle. In case cycling really isn’t your cup of tea, it is about 30 minutes walking.
The delegate fee will be €400 plus €30 for IVSA’s central fund tax (unless you qualify for a reduced fee spot).
Delegate applications will open 1st of March 2021.
