IVSA SCHOLARSHIP

GUIDELINES FOR THE APPLICANTS

The IVSA Scholarship project is to provide a fund allowing students, who would otherwise not be able to afford it, to see practice abroad. The scholarship can also be given to an IVSA member, who needs financial support to attend IVSA´s annual Congress or Symposium.
The applicant will receive reimbursment for any expenses felt appropriate by the ExCo (up to the maximum decided on the annual budget – the max amount for 2010 is 1000 Euro). All bills should be handed in to the ExCo. Decisions on the receiver of the scholarship will be made at the annual Symposium (November), with the deadline for applications being the 3rd of December 2010.

General informations and exchange arrangements
A student can only be supported once, and must be an IVSA member. There can be no retrospective applications. The EO’s of the country chosen for the exchange will be requested to find one or several veterinarians, who would be willing to host the applicant. These vets can be in different fields: one small animal and one large animal (or mixed) and should be willing to cover all accommodation expenses, preferably by hosting the student with themselves or a member of their staff. The applicant must submit a report after the exchange.

Application Procedure
