The Student American Veterinary Medical Association (SAVMA) hosts an annual symposium made just for students and rotates between US universities every year. The event is at the University of Wisconsin- Madison! this year and runs from March 10 - 14, 2010. The symposium involves many great lectures and wetlabs (hands-on small group directed teaching sessions) with a wide range of topics. Equally important- there are all kinds of social events (it will be a party), competitions, and opportunities to make friends and network.
$500 will be given as a stipend to the 1st 20 registered international travelers. Unfortunately, many wetlabs are already filling quickly so check it out soon!
